With rumors of one cast member not being invited back for season three of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we can now report on the rumors going around of who might replace her; namely, a pair of real former athlete wives.
According to The Huffington Post, producers are wooing Bryant, who recently split from some shooting guard on the Los Angeles Lakers; and Lisa, who divorced NFL linebacker Mark Gastineau in 1991 and starred alongside her daughter on E!’s Gastineau Girls a few years ago.
Said one insider of Bryant: “She is now single and free and doesn’t ever have to worry about earning another dollar in her life, so she can focus on what makes the show so much fun: herself,” while the same sources added of Lisa:
“She is the example of how not to get divorces. She has a wonderful life but works very hard to pay her bills and would love to find love again.”
Bravo may need to compete with another cable network for Vanessa’s services, however: VH1 is courting her for Basketball Wives.

Reese Witherspoon is slated to sit down with MTV News on Tuesday for an exclusive interview and premiere of a previously unseen clip from her upcoming film “This Means War.” The special, “MTV First: Reese Witherspoon,” will air on Tuesday at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV.
But before we look to the future, we are going to take a peep at her past. MTV News has uncovered a precious vintage gem, a 1991 interview with the then up-and-comer. “Ever since I was 7,” the already precocious and sassy rookie told MTV News when asked whether she had always had her sights set on a career in Hollywood. “I just thought, I always wanted to do something really outgoing ’cause when I was little I was really kind of quiet, but you know, I’d always be really creative at home and stuff, and finally I started, you know, speaking out and doing little things to impress everybody.”
She further explained that once she had decided that acting was something she wanted to do, she took the necessary steps to make sure she’d be ready for fame and stardom. “I started taking little acting classes and improv classes and, you know, [that] turned out to be what I was going to do,” she said. “I was always going to do something really out there, really far away. Does that make any sense? No, not really.”
Later mocking herself and her answer, she teased, “That’s nice, Reese. That’s real nice.”
Following the on-air “First” segment, Academy Award winner Witherspoon will stay for an additional 30-minute interview on MTV.com with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. Fans can be part of the action right away by submitting video or text questions starting Monday on MTV.com or via Twitter by using hashtag #MTVFirst.
“This Means War,” the McG-directed comedy-action film, stars Witherspoon as a seductive female dating two of the world’s deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy), whose partnership and friendship are put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affections. Instead of talking to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all of the weapons at their disposal.
The film also stars one of Witherspoon’s real-life pals, comedian and “Chelsea Lately” host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese’s character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men.

2012What does this apparently happy scene from the latest Spider-Man film tell us about the movie?
Doom hangs heavy over this apparently happy scene. Martin Sheen‘s carefree pose can only mean one thing: this character (he plays Peter Parker’s friendly Uncle Ben) is a dead man sitting. His casually rolled shirt sleeves are the equivalent of a bad cough in a Victorian melodrama or Chekhov’s gun on the mantlepiece. Don’t answer the door! Chances are it’s the Grim Reaper come a-calling.
What is the white stick that has so transfixed Andrew Garfield? A lost pen? A sucked lollipop stick? Or could it be a pregnancy test? Might that explain Sally Field’s stoic yet haggard pose, her crossed arms and her rictus fortitude?
At least four are in full view, another couple may lurk on an upper shelf. Here is a family who like a cuppa (as well as the harder stuff ? clock the two corkscrews on the dining table). Either that or it’s a none-too-subtle gesture by the props department to make native Brit Garfield feel at home.
Following previous pictures of the new Spidey looking ripped and slinky in his skin-tight cossie, this still is presumably designed to appeal to those who like their action flicks spliced with domesticity. But the homeiness is overdone: those apples gleam with preternatural life, the warm glow from the kitchen lamp gives the feel of a Norman Rockwell illustration. It’s a picture that gives us the web-slinger by way of The Waltons.

When Rihanna tweeted out a photo of her new “Thug Life” tattoo scrolled across her fingers on Wednesday, fans immediately began to flood the singer with tweets, asking her why she got it and what it all means. She tweeted photos of herself at the Shamrock Social Club parlor in Hollywood with tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, as well as actor Danny Trejo, who was also at the tattoo parlor that night.
“I #LOVE my new tattoo!!! Can’t wait for yall to see it!!! I got it in ‘Tibetan’ this time!!! #approved,” she wrote of her white-toned tat, an homage to rapper Tupac.
Rihanna met most criticism or praise with a sense of humor about her latest ink. “Chill babes #noshade. Err’body has an opinion, but yall know what yall can do with them!!! #THUGLIFE,” she wrote.
“I’m thinking I shoulda got a tear drop instead!!! #THUGLIFE maybe next time,” Rihanna later tweeted, joking about the possibility of getting the traditional prison tat on her famous face. “All eyes on Rih, betta picture me rollin’ #THUGLIFE.”
But the tweets hardly stopped there, and they progressively got more provocative, especially when one of her followers tweeted, “You’re not a thug. stop it.”
Later declaring “#RIHPac back!!!,” she continued to go on her tat-driven Twitter spree, adding, “I can’t deny it, ima riot..u don’t wanna f— with me!”
In another tweet, the star said, “NEVER!!! RT @Fiend4sports: @rihanna Thug Life!! Don’t let Pac memory ever die.”
